USA ties Mexico

February 7, 2008

USA tied Mexico, 2-2, in a fast-paced, action-packed match. It was a rivalry that has lasted for quite a time. A classic match. USA was the favorite, as always. After their last match in the Gold Cup, USA was looking for victory over Mexico. Landon Donovan, a.k.a The Mexican Assassin, didn’t have a goal last night. The scoring was left to Jozy and Oguchi Onyewu. For Mexico, Jose Magallon scored both goals.

USA vs. Mexico

January 27, 2008

1/27/08

USA will be playing a Mexico squad thirsty for revenge on February 6. USA, feeling fresh from victory against European elite, Sweden, will get to bring Josmer Altidore for his first match against the Mexico squad. I hope this can impact the game. Mexico will bring Nery Castillo who, many hope, can lead Mexico to a victory. This game is a thrilling international rivalry and I don’t think the term “friendly” will exist in this match.
