Juan Pablo Angel will be looking to lead the Red Bulls to their first MLS Cup.
The Red Bulls slipped past Real Salt Lake. The Red Bulls won the match 1-0. THe game’s only goal came from Dave van den Bergh. John Wolyniec sent in a cross as Juan Pablo Angel ran to the near post drawing a man away from the goal. van den Bergh ran in and scored after the low cross took a deflection from Nick Rimando. The Red Bulls will be playing the Columbus Crew in L. A. this upcoming Sunday. This will be the MLS cup final. An interesting note is that the Crew are favored and they 1-2 against the Red Bulls this season, with a 6-4 aggregate, favoring the Red Bulls.

Houston lifts the trophy as last year's champion.
The New York Red Bulls knocked the defending champions, Houston Dynamo, out of the MLS Cup. The MLS has two games played. These two games have an accumulative aggregate score. The New York Red Bulls had a disappointing 1-1 draw at home. Juan Pablo Angel (NY) and Kei Kamara (HOU) both scored. The Red Bulls then had to face Houston in an away game. You would think that the Red Bulls would lose to the defending champs on the road, right? Unforunately for Houston, New York won the match 3-0! Juan Pablo Angel, Dane Richards, and John Wolyneic each scored. Danny Cepero, a rookie goalkeeper (NY) , had an outstanding performance. You could tell that Houston was feeling exasperated.
