Spain wins the Euro

Spain won the Euro yesterday after beating a weak German side with a 1-0 finish.  Fernando Torres was the lone goalscorer of the match.  Spain entered the match without David Villa the leading scorer of the tournament.  Xavi Hernadez was also named player of the tournament.

UEFA Euro Quarter-finals

The Euro will enter the next stage with some pretty good matchups. One has already been played which saw Germany coming away with a 3-2 win over Portugal.  The next matches will be Croatia vs. Turkey ; Netherlands vs. Russia; Spain vs.Italy. It would be interesting to see if Italy will start Del Piero or Antonio Cassano.

Germany Beats Portugal in Euro

Germany ran away today with what seemed like an easy win. The final score was three to one. The goals were made (in order) by Bastian Schwiensteiger (Germany), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Nuno Gomes (Portugal), Michael Ballack (Germany), and Postiga (Portugal).
